About this app

Say goodbye to food label anxiety! Bokha is the helping hand you've been looking for - a simple app that scans food products and tells you exactly what's inside. Perfect for anyone with mild allergies or food sensitivities who's tired of squinting at tiny ingredient lists.

We've all been there - standing in the grocery aisle, wondering if that product contains something that might trigger your allergy. That's why we created Bokha - to make your shopping trips stress-free.

With just a quick scan, you'll know right away if a product is safe for you. Our app shows you:
• A simple green, yellow, or red indicator so you can see at a glance if a product is good to go
• All the allergens and traces in the product that might affect you
• A handy history of everything you've scanned before

How does it work? Super easy:
1. Open the app and scan any food barcode
2. Tell Bokha once what your allergies are
3. Get immediate results showing if the product is safe for you
4. Save products you like to find them again later

We've packed Bokha with useful features:
• Quick detection of all common allergens - from gluten and dairy to nuts and more
• Clear, color-coded warnings that are easy to understand
• Personalized results based on your specific dietary needs
• A growing list of your safe foods
• Easy sharing with family members so everyone knows what's safe

Want even more features? Our Premium version gives you:
• Unlimited product scanning
• Your complete scan history at your fingertips
• Detailed info about additives
• Save as many favorite products as you want
• More comprehensive product analysis

Bokha connects to the Open Food Facts database, giving you access to thousands of products worldwide. Shopping for groceries doesn't have to be a guessing game anymore!

Remember though, while we work hard to give you accurate info, always double-check food labels and packaging when dealing with serious allergies. Think of us as your friendly assistant, not a replacement for medical advice.

Doesn't have wheat allergy as an option. Also, it instantly asks you to rate the app before you even get to see the app itself, it's in the walk-through before the full app is seen. Then they want to charge for this??? 1 star for not having wheat, a super common allergy. Wish I could drop the star level more, because I don't want to be harassed to rate an app, even more so before I ever get to use the app. Definitely don't recommend.

Hi, as explained within the app, the number of allergens Bokha detects is limited (14) for legal reasons. Wheat cannot be detected accurately. Gluten is supported. I'm asking for the user to rate the app during the onboarding as a support - I'm not living off Bokha, giving a review is 100% optional but matters to me, maintaining an app has a cost.

I have many allergies and most of them aren't there. There are only allergies like peanuts, or fish. I'm allergic to apples, there's no option like that, I'm allergic to tomatoes, also no option.

Hi, as explained in the app, we have a technical limit: we can only list allergens that are listed as such by food regulators. This is to make sure they are listed as allergens by the food producers. Unfortunately, food regulators only have a limited list of food allergens.

doesn't have pork allergens listed and developer is also deleting 1 star reviews. will not be getting this app again. Edited: Upon further deep dive they are not to legal regulations on this due to the FDA requiring the majority of the identified 160 common food allergens. I urge you to go to another app for your choice. InTolerApp is the one I use for my milk(this one rarely detects it on MilkJugs), hazelnuts(this one doesn't detect it) and pork allergen needs. All cross tested.

Hi, Bokha detects 14 different allergens, which are the allergens that have to be legally indicated as such in food. Other allergens don't have the legal obligation to be mentioned as allergens - we therefore cannot technically detect them with reliability.

What’s new

Black Friday is here, and Bokha adapts by offering an exclusive deal! In addition, the app includes a technical update for even more fluidity.
