GurtDex transforms the legally required inspection of personal protective equipment against falls from height (PPE against falls from height) according to the German Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health (BetrSichV), DGUV Regulation 112-198/112-199, and DGUV Principle 312-906 into a 60-second workflow on your mobile phone – for scaffolders, roofers, carpenters, industrial climbers, safety experts/safety officers, construction yards, and facility management.

Employers must ensure the safe provision of harnesses, lanyards, fall arrest devices, ropes, and helmets: visual and functional checks before each use and inspections by a qualified person (EN 365) at least every 12 months – as well as immediate disposal after a fall and when the equipment has reached its disposal date according to the manufacturer's instructions. In the event of an accident, the employers' liability insurance association, insurance company, and authorities will require proof of these inspections – for each item. GurtDex delivers exactly that:

• Document inspection for each item – 12-point checklist according to DGUV G 312-906 / EN 365 (marking & label, discard criteria & service life, webbing, seams, rope & kernmantle, metal fittings, carabiners & connectors, shock absorber & fall indicator, fall arrest device, adjustment & locking elements, plastic parts & helmet, manufacturer information & history) with GPS stamp and proof photos. Entries are tamper-proof (cancellations only with justification).

• Discard criteria monitoring – manufacturing date and maximum service life for each item; GurtDex provides timely warnings before expiration and reports overdue equipment ("withdraw from use").

• Two types of inspection – visual/functional check by the user and annual expert inspection, with the due date for each item automatically displayed (30 days / 365 days).

• Defects using a traffic light system – Green (monitor), Orange (only manufacturer/authorized body may repair), Red (ready for disposal: withdraw from use, mark, discard) including completion note with name, timestamp, and photo.

• PPE inventory per location – category with EN standard (harness EN 361, lanyard with shock absorber EN 354/355, HSG EN ​​360, carabiner EN 362, kernmantle rope EN 1891, helmet EN 397, etc.), manufacturer, model, serial number, date of manufacture, assigned wearers, reference photo.

• PDF inspection report per location and period – including legal basis (DE/AT/CH), traffic light legend, PPE inventory, defect list, and photo appendix. Ideal as documentation for operators, clients, employers' liability insurance associations, insurance companies, or authorities.

• Team – owner manages, employees document (invitation codes).

• Inspection Reminder – Local Monthly Notification.

Note: GurtDex documents inspections, deadlines, and wear and tear. The annual inspection is carried out by a qualified person (DGUV Principle 312-906); repairs are exclusively the responsibility of the manufacturer or an authorized body.
