Gustable answers the question "what should I cook?" Instead of making you pick from endless recipes, it suggests a dish, shows whether you have the ingredients, builds the shopping list and walks you through cooking step by step.
WHAT TO COOK?
The home screen offers ideas for the time of day: breakfast in the morning, dinner in the evening. Not sure what you want? Swipe through the deck — dish cards, like a game. Not in the mood — next one. Like it — add it to your menu. You can still search for a specific dish.
GOT ALL THE INGREDIENTS?
Mark what you already have at home, and every dish shows what's missing. One tap sends the missing items to the shopping list, with quantities and sorted by store aisle. Bought it — it moves home. Cooked the dish — the ingredients are taken off your shelf.
HOW DO I COOK IT?
One step per screen, with a timer, a short animation of the action and the screen kept on. Hands busy? Turn on the voice and the app reads the steps aloud.
WHAT IS THE FAMILY EATING?
Family chat: write in your own words, suggest dishes and vote 👍 or 👎 right under them. A tie? The dice decide. Whatever you settle on goes straight into the day's menu. Every family member can read and write; suggesting dishes and voting come with PRO.
ALLERGIES ARE THE FOUNDATION, NOT A CHECKBOX
Allergies, intolerances and religious or ethical restrictions are asked once and apply everywhere. Filtering works on each dish's ingredients, not its name: every ingredient is linked to a product database. If we don't know the full composition of a dish, we don't show it at all. Better to show less than to show something unsafe.
Health and faith restrictions always work — in the free version and after a subscription ends. We will not sell people the safety of their own food.
Important: we check ingredients against our own product database, not the package in your store. Always read the label. If you have a severe allergy, don't rely on the app alone.

FREE AND PRO
The free version works from day one with no time limit: step-by-step cooking, search and all diet and allergy filters are always there. Limits are about quantity, not safety: three new recipes a day, a shopping list for one dish and today's menu only; the pantry and profile statistics are in PRO. PRO is a monthly or yearly subscription through Google Play, and new subscribers get the first 7 days free.
No ads in either the free version or PRO. We don't sell your data.
Gustable is made by one person. If something doesn't work or something is missing, write in — the developer answers, not a bot.
