About this app

Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Al Ketbi was born in the Al Hayer area in the city of Al Ain in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. She lived her childhood in a conservative, religious Bedouin family. Her Highness loved the simplicity of Bedouin life and its values, and derived her personality and culture from them.

Her Highness married Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan - may God rest his soul - at the beginning of the year 1960 AD when he was Governor of the Eastern Region (Al Ain). Then I moved with him to live in the city of Abu Dhabi after he assumed power in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi on August 6, 1966 AD.

Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak accompanied Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan during his rule of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and his presidency of the United Arab Emirates, and was closely associated with him, as he was her first teacher and inspiration. Her Highness devoted most of her time and attention to caring for her husband, sons, and daughters and was dedicated to serving them. I witnessed his intense preoccupation during the years of political movement, and contributed to formulating his success story, of which the founding of the United Arab Emirates on December 2, 1971 AD is one of the most prominent chapters. All of these factors had a profound impact on Her Highness’s career, as they contributed to crystallizing her intellectual formation and preparing her to bear the enormous responsibilities that she assumed in later stages.

Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak realized the importance of science, so she decided to study the Qur’an, its interpretation, the principles of jurisprudence, and the noble Prophet’s hadith. She was also passionate about studying various fields of arts and humanities, and was interested in researching history, politics, and the origins of diplomacy.

Her Highness's personality is characterized by humility, open-heartedness, and acceptance of others, based on a firm belief that Islam is a religion of moderation and tolerance, in addition to her constant and strong determination and unlimited love for charitable and volunteer work inside and outside the Emirates.
