About this app

Gyro Map is the navigation app designed for emergency professionals and volunteers in France: private ambulance drivers, volunteer firefighters, ambulance drivers, and Red Cross and Civil Protection first responders.

Designed with and for active first responders, it focuses on the essentials: getting you to the right place, at the right time, safely.

⚠️ IMPORTANT: Gyro Map is not affiliated with official public services (SAMU, SDIS, National Police). It is a navigation aid for private and volunteer emergency responders.

🚨 EMERGENCY VEHICLE PROFILES

Choose your vehicle from 5 dedicated profiles: VSAV, FPT, EPSA, SAMU, and Police. The app automatically adapts route calculations to the size and specific constraints of each type.

🗺️ COMPARATIVE ROUTES

For each destination, Gyro Map calculates two routes in parallel:

- "Fastest" — the shortest route in terms of time
- "Main roads" — prioritizing wide and accessible roads

You decide based on the context. The shortest route isn't always the safest during an emergency response.

📢 COMMUNITY REPORTS

Share obstacles encountered with other crews in real time:
- Blocked road
- Obstructive parked vehicle
- Unlisted construction site
- Narrow or one-way street
- Closed road
- Other

Reports expire automatically after a few hours to remain relevant.

🔇 SMART SIREN

Automatic voice alerts at 100, 200, 300, and 500 meters from your arrival to warn you at the right time and allow for a discreet approach when the situation requires it.

📊 PERSONAL STATISTICS

Track your activity: distance traveled, total duration, number of interventions per profile. Your data remains on your device — it is never sent to our servers.

🌗 DAY/NIGHT MODE

Manual or automatic switching depending on the time of day. At night, the screen protects your vision without dazzling you during an intervention.

🗺️ OFFLINE MAPS

Download map areas to have them available even without a network connection. Essential in rural areas or underground.

Gyro Map is committed to ethical simplicity:

- No advertising
- No third-party trackers (no Google Analytics, Facebook SDK, etc.)
- No data resale
- GPS location never stored on our servers (except upon notification)
