You've inherited uncle Marcello's bar on the corner of the neighbourhood. Every morning the customers come in for breakfast and you are behind the counter.
COFFEE, MADE PROPERLY
Grind, tamp the portafilter and hold the group. Too short and it's watery, too long and it's burnt. Then come the steam wand for cappuccino, decaf, orzo, fresh orange juice, grappa for a caffè corretto and the cornetti in the display case.
YOU REMEMBER THE USUAL
Ten regulars, each with their own time, order and lines: the builders, Gino the pensioner, the lawyer who is always in a hurry, the hairdresser, the doctor, the runner, the traffic warden and the others. From the third visit they just say "the usual". Make it as they walk in and it's served al volo.
FIFTEEN MORNINGS, THREE STARS EACH
Every day has three stars: takings, satisfaction and a goal. Every day something new arrives, and Marcello's notebook explains how it works.
THE BAR BECOMES YOURS
Between mornings, in the shop, you spend your takings on equipment and furniture: a better grinder, the two-group machine, lamps, a marble counter. The regulars' stories give you things to hang on the wall. And in the end Gino tells you why the bar is called Bar Marcello.
THE DETAILS
Free, no account and no purchases. The game shows ads: at the end of a day you can choose to watch one to double your takings, and every three days there is a full-screen ad, never while you are serving customers. Your progress stays on your phone. In Italian and English.
The neighbourhood bar: proper coffee and regulars who just say "the usual".
