About this app
Haelo is a quieter way to stay close to the people who matter.
When someone crosses your mind, send a Hint to that person. It is a small invitation, not a demand for an answer. They can reply when it feels right, Hint back or let it pass.
SEND A HINT
Choose a friend, pick a feeling and say how you would love to hear back: a text, photo, meme, video, voice note or invitation to call.
REPLY YOUR WAY
A reply opens a private conversation where you can share a little more. Send text, photos, short videos and voice notes. A Whisper opens only once.
STORIES
Keep an ordinary moment as a Story. It is not posted for everyone: a small seal on your avatar tells a friend that something is waiting, and it opens in a real conversation between you.
HUDDLES
Bring the right people into a Huddle. One Hint invites the group, and whoever shows up gathers.
YOUR PEOPLE
See your friends and the short Thoughts they choose to share on your sky. Add the optional Your people home-screen widget and choose whose light to keep nearby. Showing Thought text in a widget is your choice.
DANISH VOICE TRANSCRIPTS
On supported Android 13 or later devices, playing an ordinary voice note can show a Danish transcript made on your phone. Availability depends on the phone's on-device recognizer and Danish language model. Whisper voice notes are excluded. Haelo does not send the audio to a server for transcription.
QUIET BY DESIGN
There is no public feed, follower count or advertising. You can block or report a person and delete your account in the app.
The free plan starts each day with 5 Hints and supports Huddles with up to 7 people in total.
HAELO+ — WHERE AVAILABLE
Haelo+ is an optional auto-renewing subscription with monthly and yearly plans. Both provide 8 Hints a day, Huddles with up to 50 people in total and a custom avatar shape. Google Play shows the price and billing period before you confirm. Subscriptions renew until you cancel in Google Play; deleting your Haelo account does not cancel a subscription.
Friends on iPhone and Android use the same Haelo. The main app interface is in English. You need a Haelo account and must be 16 or older.
