Don't listen to the people who say it doesn't work. The expectation by them is that it doesn't show up in the play store. That's out of the apps control and the user failed to test it properly. THIS APP WORKS. I'm using it on my S24 ultra that's fully updated as of posting this review. Yes the signed apps show up in the play store "my apps list" BUT they fail to update when you attempt to update them. Still serves expected purpose of not updating apps.

Edit: 4 stars, due to app doing what it is says it does and developer responsiveness. Just understand the new limitations as a result of changes made by Google. Original: This app worked great for re-signing an app which you didn't want Google Play to try and update. Unfortunately, my apps signed with this app have started showing back up in the Google Play updates list. I believe this is due to changes made by Google, which this app does not address.

I'm aware of this issue. Unfortunately, Play Store is Google's code. I cannot do anything about that. I'm very sorry. Thank you for your review, and for using apk-signer,
William Steele
It totally worked. 8 had an app that updated and I didn't like the direction the app was going so I emailed the dev and he sent me the old apk. The problem was, the Playstore kept wanting to update it again. I tried this app and it worked to sign the apk and the app installed with no issues and the Playstore didn't try to update it! I did get a pop-up from the Playstore at install about an unrecognized app but I just chose the don't send option.
