Do you open social media without even thinking?
Mindful Scroll helps you stop scrolling automatically by adding a simple pause before apps open — so you can take back control of your screen time.
🧠 Why most screen time apps don’t work
Most apps try to limit your usage after you’re already inside Instagram, TikTok, or Reddit. By then, the habit has already taken over.
⚡ How it works
• Choose the social media apps you want to control
• The first time you open them each day, a pause screen appears
• Take a moment to reset before continuing
• After that, apps are unlocked for the rest of the day
🎯 What you get
• Stop mindless scrolling
• Reduce screen time naturally
• Build more intentional habits
• Stay in control without strict blockers
• Avoid uninstalling or restricting apps completely
📊 Track your usage
See how much time you spend on apps and track your progress as your habits improve.
💡 Designed for real life
You don’t need to quit social media.
You don’t need extreme blockers.
You just need a moment to pause.
🔥 Perfect for you if you want to:
• Stop scrolling on autopilot
• Reduce social media addiction
• Improve focus and productivity
• Use your phone more intentionally
Take back control of your screen time — one pause at a time.
Accessibility Service Usage
Mindful Scroll uses Android’s AccessibilityService API for one core function:
to detect when a user opens a user-selected protected app (for example, Instagram or TikTok) and show a brief mindful pause screen before access.
With explicit user consent, Mindful Scroll uses AccessibilityService only to:
* Detect the current foreground app.
* Recognize when selected protected apps are opened.
* Display the in-app pause intervention/reminder.
Mindful Scroll does NOT use AccessibilityService to:
* Read typed text, messages, passwords, or personal content.
* Collect or transmit personal data to third parties.
* Change device settings without user action.
* Prevent users from disabling AccessibilityService.
All processing for this feature is performed on-device.
AccessibilityService is optional, user-enabled, and can be disabled at any time in Android Settings.
