About this app

Built for the chair, not the clinic.
HairChart for Salons is the stylist side of HairChart. It makes the scalp check part of the service. Before you section a single braid, capture your client’s scalp across six zones, run the analysis, and hand them a report they keep — on the tablet at your station, in the time it takes to prep.
Guided six-zone capture
The camera tells you when the shot is good. A live lighting reading in lux, focus lock, and a distance readout keep every photo taken at the same 12–15 cm from the scalp, so this month’s images are comparable with last month’s. Work zone by zone — hairline, both temples, crown, sides and nape — with a progress counter so nothing is missed, in photo or video, whichever suits the zone.
Analysis in seconds
The scan runs through image quality checks, zone mapping, and density and follicle analysis, then compares the result against that client’s own scan history. You get a scalp score out of 100, a zone-by-zone breakdown with a confidence figure on every finding, and the movement since the last visit — so you can see a temple slipping two points long before the client can see anything at all.
Guidance you can use in-service
Findings arrive as instructions for the install you are about to do: section roughly 0.3 in narrower at the temple rim, extend the edge serum protocol by two weeks, keep the left nape in its rest period until the 15th. Every zone carries a status — healthy, caution or restricted — and a restricted zone carries the date it comes out of rest.
A report the client keeps
Each scan produces a numbered report: the zone table with status, confidence, trend and score, the care recommendations, and your sign-off as the stylist on record. Share it, download the PDF, or email it to the client, who acknowledges it in the HairChart client app.
Your whole book on one screen
Find any client by name, phone or email, or filter by today’s bookings, follow-ups due, recent visits and favourites. Every profile holds hair type, service history, scan history with scores, care-plan adherence and the zones you are watching — so a client who has not sat in your chair since December is not a guess.
WHY SALONS RUN IT
• Document the scalp you started with, before anyone disputes it later
• Show a client why you are going looser this time, with a photo instead of an opinion
• Turn a two-minute check into a follow-up booking and a product protocol
• Hand the next stylist a record instead of a memory
• Keep six zones, scan history and care plans on one client file
WHAT YOU NEED
An Android tablet with a rear camera and a HairChart account through the Beauty Business Portal. Designed for a 10-inch tablet in landscape at the station.
THE CLIENT SIDE
Your clients do not need this app. They download HairChart, the free client app, where every report you sign off appears on their own record — with their zones, their care plan and their scan history, across every salon they visit. This app is the one that does the scanning.
HairChart for Salons is a documentation and workflow tool for hair care professionals. It does not diagnose, treat or provide medical advice, and its analysis is decision support for a trained stylist, not a clinical finding. Anyone concerned about hair loss, scalp pain or skin changes should see a doctor or a board-certified dermatologist.
Scan a client's scalp in six zones and get an AI report before you braid.
