About this app

Is it halal? Tayyib gives you a clear verdict in seconds, and tells you openly when the source is unclear.

Scan a product's barcode. If Tayyib can't find it, just photograph the ingredient list, the text recognition runs right on your device.

THE FOUR VERDICTS
• Halal, no flagged ingredients
• Mushbooh, doubtful, the source is unclear
• Not halal, contains a non-permitted ingredient
• Unknown, not in the database yet

WHY TAYYIB
• Always explained: every flagged ingredient shows where it typically comes from and what the ruling rests on. Where the schools of law differ, we say so and follow yours.
• Honest about doubt: we never guess. If the source is unclear it's Mushbooh, not simply green.
• Data-minimal: your school of thought and scan history stay only on your device. No account, no tracking of your religion.
• In German, English, French and Arabic.

WHAT TAYYIB CAN'T DO Tayyib reads printed ingredients and cites known rulings. It can't know the source of every ingredient or how an animal was slaughtered, and it is not a fatwa or an official halal certification. For binding assurance, rely on recognised certifications and the manufacturer. For allergies, always rely on the packaging.

Free to use, Premium removes ads. Ingredient data from Open Food Facts (ODbL).
Scan a barcode, instantly see halal, haram or mushbooh — with sources.

What’s new
