HALO is the carpool app your community runs.

The school run. The camp drop-off. The daily commute. HALO turns the seats you're already driving into safer, verified rides for the people in your community — not strangers from across the city.

Every driver is approved by your community admin. Every parent verifies consent for their children before they ride. Every active trip has an SOS button that fans out to admins and parents. And every shared seat is one less car at the gate.

WHO HALO IS FOR

• Schools — turn the school run into an organized, accountable carpool.
• Sports clubs — practice pickups and away games, run by the parents who already drive them.
• Camps and retreats — drop-offs and pickups with verified families.
• Faith communities and neighborhood groups — Sunday rides, community events, mutual aid.
• Parents — book rides for your children with families you already know.
• Drivers — share the seats you're already driving, on your own schedule.
• Passengers 16+ — book your own rides inside your community.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Your community admin opens HALO for your group and shares a join code.
2. Members sign up with that code — never via a public open feed.
3. Drivers upload license and insurance for community-admin review.
4. Parents add each child via double opt-in email consent (COPPA / GDPR-K).
5. Drivers publish the trips they're already making.
6. Parents request seats, get notified when the driver accepts, and track the active ride.

BUILT FOR SAFETY

• Every member is approved by your community admin before they can ride.
• Driver verification covers license and insurance documents.
• One-tap SOS on every active ride, escalating to admin and emergency contacts.
• In-app rating and feedback after every trip.
• Live ride tracking — visible only to the parent during an active ride, deleted when it ends.
• Account deletion in Settings → Privacy. Full data erasure within 24 hours.

BUILT FOR THE PLANET

Transportation is the largest source of household carbon emissions. Every shared seat is one less tailpipe. HALO measures CO₂ saved per ride and rolls it up into a number your community can be proud of — aligned with California SB 375, US 2050 net-zero, and UN SDG 11.

HALO is free for communities to use. We don't run ads, we don't sell data, and we don't route you with strangers. Membership flows through people you already know.
