About this app

Give the boy something to eat. He’ll even say “Thanks!” Touch the violin and it plays for you!

Fun with Directions Listening Lite, developed by speech-language pathologist, Patti Hamaguchi, MA, CCC-SLP, author of books on listening and co-author of the TAPS4 language processing test, created this ground-breaking app to provide a fun and engaging way to practice listening, following directions, working memory and the auditory processing of language.

This is a free, intro app to our full version Fun with Directions: Listening app.

From the simplest of directions (“Touch the cat”) to the more complex (“Give the boy without a hat or glasses, something round that grows on trees and can be red or green.”) your child can grow and learn with this game over time.

Discover why "Fun with Directions Listening Lite" is a favorite among parents, teachers, and Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs). This app is designed to help children improve their auditory memory, learn to follow instructions, and master basic concepts.

Unlike passive videos, "Fun with Directions Listening Lite" is an interactive educational game that engages children with colorful animations and clear audio prompts.

• Builds Receptive Language: Perfect for speech therapy practice at home.
• Basic Concept Awareness: including function, description concepts
• Progressive Difficulty: Includes 3 levels of difficulty
• Superstar Mode: Provides optional expressive language practice

Whether you are working with children with speech delays, autism, ADHD, or just want to give your child a head start with listening, Fun with Directions Listening Lite provides a proven, frustration-free way to learn.

Download today and turn following directions into a fun game!

Colorful, vivid art and animations against a white background combine to create a complete game experience without visual clutter. Sound effects and surprises keep the game engaging! This app is a great choice for a toddler/preschooler, or any young child who would like to practice listening to or reading directions!

Included in the Lite version are two concepts: “Give” and “touch.”

Features include settings for text on/off, (to practice reading vs. listening) and the desired level of play: easy, intermediate, and advanced.

An added bonus that is included in this app is the optional “Superstar Direction” which allows additional practice for remembering (“What did you have to do?”) but also expressive language. The child’s response is recorded and played back. Superstar Directions are surprise questions that pop up at random times, but can easily be turned off if desired.
