Handwave is a biometric wallet that allows users to link a payment card and identity to palm and use it to identify themselves and pay at participating checkout locations. The app is designed to reduce the need to use a physical card, passports or phone at checkout. Users can also manage their account, personal data and consents directly in the app.

Handwave is currently in a controlled whitelisted pilot. Although the app can be downloaded from the App Store in supported regions, only invited pilot participants can complete registration and use the service. Access is limited during the pilot so that Handwave and its partners can test the service in a controlled live environment before making it available to the general public.
