About this app

File Studio combining a file explorer, archive support, multiple editors, and a terminal in one app — helping you safely, simply, efficiently, and effortlessly browse, manage, and edit files on your device.

Browse storage and bookmarks with tabs, and move, copy, and organize your files. Restore items deleted within the app from the recycle bin. Open ZIP-based archives to extract, search, and view their contents. View and edit plain text and code with syntax highlighting. View images, audio, and PDFs, and use professional image editing and video tools.

Manage your files like you would on a computer with operations such as cut, copy, paste, move, create, delete, rename, search, share, bookmark, compress, and extract.

Nearby Transfer lets you efficiently send files to another File Studio device on the same Wi-Fi network. Select a nearby device, enter the recipient's IP and other details, or scan their QR code. Scanning uses Google Play services; this app does not request camera permission.

If your device already has Root or Shizuku, you can optionally enable elevated file access, giving you more complete control over the files on your device — your turf should be yours to command.

"All files access" permission is requested so that, once you grant it, you can browse and manage files in shared storage. It is not used for unrelated background data collection. We promise we will never extract any files from your device to our servers.

More features:

● Root / Shizuku: Enable elevated file access when your device has Root or Shizuku
● File explorer: Tabs and bookmarks; manage files with multi-select, cut, copy, paste, move, create, delete, rename, search, share, and more
● Remote servers: Connect to FTP, FTPS, SFTP, SMB, and WebDAV
● App manager: Browse installed apps and open their storage locations
● Recycle bin: Restore items deleted within the app
● Nearby Transfer: Send files to another File Studio device on the same Wi-Fi network
● Archives: Open ZIP, APK, and XAPK files; extract, search, and view their contents
● Text and code editor: Syntax highlighting; view and edit configuration files, logs, scripts, and large files
● Hex editor: View address, hexadecimal, and ASCII side by side; inspect, edit, or compare binary data
● DEX and APK inspector: View APK and DEX files through a class tree and read-only Smali/Java views
● Terminal: Built-in terminal sessions for command-line tasks
● Folder sharing: Share folders from this device via FTP, FTPS, SFTP (Android 8 and above), or WebDAV, and display the sharing address as a QR code
● Media: View images, audio, and PDFs
● Professional image editor and video tools
● Database browser: Browse SQLite database files

A subscription unlocks advanced tools, with weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly plans available. Trial eligibility is shown in Google Play before you subscribe. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime through Google Play. Root, Shizuku, and Nearby Transfer are available without a subscription.

Data safety

Safety starts with understanding how developers collect and share your data. Data privacy and security practices may vary based on your use, region, and age. The developer provided this information and may update it over time.

What’s new

• Entry info: folder/file counts, and toggle between entry path and archive#entry.
• Set suid/sgid/sticky, enter 4-digit octal, apply permissions recursively.
• Safer extract/replace: root writes into protected folders; failed replaces keep the old entry.
• Fixed wrapped-line numbers and symbol-strip dividers; large-file formatting explains why.
• FTPS verifies server certificates by default.
