About this game
Lava is rising and the only way out is up.
Caldera is a vertical survival shooter. Fly your drone up a burning shaft, blast swarms of lava creatures and giant bosses, and climb as high as you can before the lava catches you.
Your drone fires on its own at the nearest enemy, so all you do is steer. Tap to move or use a virtual joystick - pick the control style you like when you first start.
HOW IT PLAYS
- The lava never stops rising. Keep climbing.
- Every kill pays souls and fills your XP bar.
- Level up and pick a new weapon, mod, passive or evolution. Not happy with the offer? Spend souls to spin the cards again.
- Grab power-ups: a magnet, a freeze, a fireball that burns through everything, a nuke, repair gear and chests full of bonus upgrades.
WEAPONS
Build a loadout of up to six weapons: pulse cannon, gatling gun, rocket launcher, laser beam, chain lightning, flamethrower, railgun, tesla field, ice blast, venom launcher, orbiting drones and more. Upgrade them, attach mods and evolve them into something far nastier.
BOSS FIGHTS
Fight your way past a hive queen and her swarm, a silk-spinning spider, a bomber, a robot spider and a living nest.
SIX DRONES
Start with Pulse, then unlock Mercy (heavy piercing orbs), Guardian (widening pushback waves), Torch (a burning trail), Hydro (a continuous water spray) and Blades (spinning melee blades).
KEEP WHAT YOU EARN
Souls are yours to keep between runs. Spend them on permanent upgrades - armor, magnet range, extra health, XP boost and more - and on unlocking new drones.
FREE TO PLAY
Caldera is free to play and contains ads. Rewarded ads are optional: watch one for a second chance when your drone goes down, or to double the souls from a run.
