HatoLog is a simple, dedicated recording app that uses GPS to track your movement and saves it as a GPX file.

"Easy to use on your smartphone. Keep your data on your device."
It lacks viewing and analysis features, focusing solely on recording. Saved GPX files can be opened with your preferred map tools and services.

■ Features

・Dedicated to Recording — Recording continues even when the screen is off or other apps are in use. Recording status is easily visible with a card on the map and notifications.

・Rich GPX — In addition to time, location, and altitude, it records speed, direction of travel (GPS measured value), and horizontal accuracy in the extended GPX area. Altitude is saved at sea level (elevation).

・Automatic Recording of Mountain Names — When the track passes near a mountain peak, the mountain's name is automatically added as a GPX point (waypoint). Includes 13,813 mountains. Works offline.

* Easy-to-view maps — Choose from maps from the Geospatial Information Authority of Japan (light-colored, standard, and aerial photographs) and OpenTopoMap (with contour lines). Supports automatic tracking to your current location (ON/OFF button) and color-coding of track accuracy.

* Offline use — GPS does not require communication, so you can record even in areas without coverage or on devices without a SIM card. Maps can also be displayed offline if downloaded in advance.

* No cloud, no account, no ads — All recorded location information is saved in the Documents/HatoLog/ folder on your device and is not automatically transmitted externally.

■ How it works

Instead of recording every location received from GPS, it only records points that meet certain conditions, such as "Is this a new location?", "Is it sufficiently accurate?", and "Has it moved from the previous point?". This app prevents distance inflation due to stationary camera shake, leaving the cleanest possible track. Recording interval and accuracy settings can be adjusted.

■ Privacy

* Recorded location information and GPX files are stored only on the device. They are only shared when the user initiates sharing.

* Communication is used only for displaying the map (acquiring map tiles). Turning off "Internet Communication" in the settings will prevent the app from communicating at all.

* There are no analytics, advertisements, or account features.

GPS で移動の軌跡を記録し、GPX ファイルとして端末内に保存します。
