WHAT IS FREE AND WHAT IS PAID

• VIN decode, recalls, complaints, safety ratings and fuel economy are always free, with no limit and no account.
• The full vehicle history — accidents, salvage and title brands, odometer readings, theft records, and auction and sale history with photos — is a one time, pay per check unlock. One check unlocks one car. Checks never expire, and a car you have already unlocked stays unlocked for free. No subscription, ever, and nothing to cancel.

A NOTE ON COVERAGE

Records cover vehicles registered in the United States, identified by a 17 character US format VIN. You do not have to be in America to use the app. If you are checking a car in the US, for yourself or for family, it works from anywhere in the world.

VerifiedCarCheck is an independent information tool. Vehicle data comes from public sources including NHTSA and the U.S. EPA, and from licensed vehicle history providers. We are not affiliated with any manufacturer or dealer, we do not sell cars, and we are not a lender.

A history report tells you what was reported. It is not a substitute for a pre purchase inspection by a licensed mechanic.

What’s new

• Checks you have paid for now survive deleting and reinstalling the app.
• Free Check and the paid report are now separate: Free Check opens on the free safety data, and the full history opens from the VIN box on Home.
• Where no verified photo of that exact model year exists, the app now says so instead of showing an empty frame.
