Fell asleep with the computer on? Moonset Remote puts it to bed from your phone, without getting up.
Moonset Remote is the free companion to Moonset, the timer that shuts down, sleeps or locks your computer when the countdown ends. Start a timer from the couch, check how long is left from bed, or cancel it at the last second.
CHOOSE WHAT HAPPENS
• Shut down, sleep, restart, log out, lock or hibernate
• Only the actions your computer supports are shown
SET IT YOUR WAY
• One tap on a preset: 15 min, 30 min, 1 h, 2 h or your own
• A new timer of any length, up to 24 hours
• At a set time, such as 11:30 PM
• When a download finishes: the computer waits until the network goes quiet
STAY IN CONTROL
• The live countdown, the same one the computer shows
• Pause, resume or cancel at any moment
• The final 30-second warning, with Cancel right on your phone
• Your next scheduled timer at a glance
• The computer's volume: slide it or type an exact level, without getting up
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• Works on your own Wi-Fi: no account, no cloud, no servers
• Pair once with a 6-digit code that both screens show
• Everything between phone and computer is end-to-end encrypted
• No ads and no tracking
ONE PHONE, EVERY COMPUTER
Pair a Mac, a Windows PC and a Linux desktop, and switch between them with a tap.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Open Moonset on your computer and turn on "Allow control from phone" in Settings › Devices.
2. Open Moonset Remote on the same Wi-Fi. Your computer shows up on its own.
3. Check that both screens show the same code and click Allow on the computer.
That's it. Next time, the app reconnects on its own.
REQUIREMENTS
Moonset Remote needs Moonset running on your computer (macOS, Windows or Linux), available at moonsettimer.com. Both devices must be on the same Wi-Fi network; guest networks often keep devices from seeing each other.
Shut down, sleep or lock your Mac, Windows or Linux computer from your phone.
