As you know, chess is one of the oldest strategy games in the world.
Chess is an excellent logic game that develops skills such as tactics, strategy, and visual memory.
That's why we're trying to create an application that allows players of any level to enjoy the game.
Chess Pieces:
- The pawn moves one square forward or two squares on its first move, and diagonally one square forward.
- The king moves one square vertically, horizontally, or diagonally.
- The queen moves any distance vertically, horizontally, or diagonally.
- The rook moves any distance vertically or horizontally.
- The knight moves to the square that is two squares beyond the square vertically, horizontally, or diagonally.
- The bishop moves any distance diagonally.
Important Chess Positions:
- Checkmate - A position in chess where the king is immediately attacked by the opponent's pieces.
- Checkmate - A position in chess where the player whose turn it is has no valid move and no way to escape check.
- Kingstruck - A position in chess where the player whose turn it is has no valid move and is not under check. (Draw)
The objective of the game is to checkmate the opponent's king.
Two Special Moves in Chess:
- Castling: A double move performed by the king and rook, who have not moved.
- Capture: A move in which a pawn captures an opponent's pawn by jumping over a square under the pawn's move.
