SafeHandoff is a free app locker for parents — lock the apps you don't want your kids in before you hand over your phone.

Give kids your phone, not your whole digital life. Pick the apps to lock — email, banking, social — and everything else stays open. Or flip to Allow Mode: choose the few apps your child can use and everything else is locked. Set a timer before you hand it over, and when time's up every app locks behind your PIN until you unlock it.

WHAT YOU CAN DO
- Lock the apps you choose (Block Mode) or allow only a few (Allow Mode).
- Set a handoff timer - 5, 15, 30, 60 minutes, or none. When it ends, a full-screen "Time's Up" lock covers every app.
- Unlock with a 6-digit PIN or a draw pattern - add Face ID / fingerprint if you like. PIN is always the fallback.
- Mute notifications from locked apps so a child can't peek at them (Android).
- Optional uninstall protection so the app can't be removed without your PIN.
- Toggle Kid Mode fast from a Quick Settings tile or a shortcut.

PRIVACY FIRST
SafeHandoff makes no network calls and contains no analytics, ad, or tracking SDKs. Your PIN is stored only as a salted hash, never in plain text. It never reads your messages, contacts, photos, location, camera, or microphone.
