About this app

Video Player is a fast, offline HD video player for Android that plays your local videos exactly the way you want — with smooth gesture controls, real background playback, and a private folder for videos you'd rather keep to yourself. No sign-in, no internet connection required, and no ads spying on what you watch — just your videos, played beautifully.

🎬 BROWSE YOUR LIBRARY
• Videos organized by folder automatically
• Quick filters for All videos and Recently played
• Sort by name, date, size, or duration
• Instant thumbnails and duration badges

👆 GESTURE-DRIVEN PLAYBACK

• Swipe the right side to adjust volume
• Double-tap to skip forward or back 10 seconds
• Drag anywhere to scrub through the video

▶️ PICKS UP WHERE YOU LEFT OFF

📺 REAL BACKGROUND PLAYBACK & PICTURE-IN-PICTURE
Keep listening or watching when you switch apps. Video Player keeps playing with a notification for play/pause/next controls, and pops into a floating Picture-in-Picture window when you leave the player. Prefer it to stop instead? Turn background play off in Settings and it pauses the moment you leave.

🔒 PRIVATE FOLDER
Move sensitive videos into a folder that's hidden from your main library and protected behind your device's screen lock or fingerprint.

🔊 MORE PLAYBACK CONTROLS
• Adjustable playback speed, from 0.25x to 2x
• Switch between embedded subtitle tracks with one tap
• Lock the screen during playback to avoid accidental taps
• Lock rotation or let the video rotate with your device
