HEALTH, FITNESS & WELLNESS DATA (OPTIONAL)
Where you choose to enable such permissions, the HERE by HDFC ERGO
application may request access to health, fitness and wellness-related
data through Android Health Connect and/or connected platforms such as
Fitbit or Apple Health, when you voluntarily choose to link a tracker
from the Activity Tracking section.
Depending on the permissions you grant and the platform you connect,
such data may include step count and, on supported platforms, activity
or calorie information made available by that platform.
HDFC ERGO uses this data only for specific, optional, user-facing
features within the app, including:
• Tracking daily physical activity and displaying activity progress
• Participation in optional wellness rewards programs (e.g. Zopper)
• Supporting voluntary activity-tracking features for eligible users
who choose to link a device or health platform
• Improving related in-app wellness functionality and user experience
Health Connect and connected platform access is optional and is
requested only after you choose to link a tracker. You may manage,
modify or revoke permissions at any time through your device settings,
Health Connect settings, the connected platform, or by unlinking and
deleting synced activity data within the Activity Tracking section.
HDFC ERGO does not sell your health or fitness data. We do not use
health data obtained through Health Connect or connected health
platforms for advertising, marketing, promotional targeting,
credit-worthiness, insurance underwriting, or unrelated profiling.
Any collection, use, storage and processing of information received
through Health Connect or connected platforms is carried out in
accordance with applicable laws, your permissions, our Privacy Policy,
and Google Play Developer Program Policies, including Health Connect
Permissions requirements.

I have been unable to renew my policy through the app, it always takes me to a browser for it and that also doesn't respond half the time. And the biggest issue is support through the app, there is no clear option for support or to connect to a support person. Their toll-free numbers never connect you to a support personnel either. The process is so convoluted for no reason. Truely Disappointed

Worst experience, worst customer care I purchased a policy with the OPD benefit, but the consultation and teleconsultation options are missing. I contacted customer support, had to struggle through an AI voice assistant to reach a representative, and was then asked to email screenshots. After doing so, I only received an automated AI response that completely misunderstood my issue. What's the point of relying so much on AI if it can't resolve simple customer issues? I was about to check my policy details it says no internet connection despite trying multiple time,and suddenly it says ur online then it's glitching again and again. even vibe coders build better apps than this! health Insurance is critical and in emergency it's something we look up for this is utter avoidance of customer service. would like to say totally disappointed from the application!
