Tried to renew my policy. It failed with "We encountered an error". A note to the development team of this app - please don't work on any app ever. In the world of AI if you cannot fix such small problems and something fails on the first go, you don't deserve to push something on the app store. Update: Have already renewed using the website. There is no point in sending my phone number on your email address. I will send the screenshot though.

App is as good as useless. You cannot reach out to customer care since the bot refuses to let past the preset options which are useless. You cannot raise a complaint since it always shows a something went wrong error once the OTP is entered. The online update policy options are a scam since you always end up at a deadend unable to do anything. I seriously doubt if they even help in case of a genuine claim. Disappointed with my choice of insurance provider.

Extremely disappointing experience with the HDFC ERGO app and overall service. The UI is poor and frustrating to use, and for something as basic as policy renewal, the app keeps redirecting to the website—then what’s the point of having an app at all? I’ve been trying to renew my policy for the past 15 days, and every single attempt ends in a technical error. On top of that, there has been zero response or callback from the support team despite multiple attempts to reach out.
