Turn your Android tablet or phone into a portable HDMI monitor. Plug in a USB HDMI capture card and see any HDMI source in full screen, with sound: Nintendo Switch, PS5, Xbox, Steam Deck, cameras, drones, laptops, mini PCs and Raspberry Pi.
It works as an HDMI viewer and capture card viewer: HDMI in on Android, no rooting needed. Free to use with no daily time limit, and no ads while you watch.
🎮 PLAY YOUR CONSOLE ANYWHERE
Use your tablet as a monitor for Switch, PS5 or Xbox on the go, in another room, on a trip or on a plane. A USB 3.0 capture card gives smooth 1080p at 60 fps, with HDMI sound on the speaker or headphones. Retro CRT mode adds scanlines and rich colours for retro consoles.
📷 PRO CAMERA MONITOR
Use your phone or tablet as an external monitor for your camera, a lightweight field monitor for mirrorless cameras, camcorders, GoPro and drones:
• Focus peaking shows what is sharp
• Zebra stripes warn about overexposed areas
• Rule-of-thirds grid, mirror and flip
• Brightness, contrast, saturation, hue and sharpness
💻 SECOND SCREEN FOR ANY HDMI DEVICE
Laptop, mini PC, Raspberry Pi, TV box or headless server: connect its HDMI output and your tablet becomes a wired second screen, a portable tablet monitor you can take anywhere. No software to install on the other device and no Wi-Fi needed.
⏺ RECORD AND SCREENSHOT
Record video with HDMI sound to MP4 and take screenshots in one tap. Everything is saved to your gallery.

🔌 WHAT YOU NEED
Phones and tablets have no HDMI input, so a plain HDMI cable or USB-C hub will not work. You need a small USB HDMI capture card (UVC video capture device, about $10–25):
HDMI source → HDMI cable → capture card → your device.
• USB 3.0 cards (MS2130 chip) reach 1080p at 60 fps
• USB 2.0 cards (MS2109 chip) are fine for 1080p at 30 fps
• A USB-C hub with Power Delivery lets you charge while you watch
❓ GOOD TO KNOW
• PS5 / PS4: turn off HDCP in Settings → System → HDMI, otherwise the picture stays black. Content protected by HDCP (streaming apps, Blu-ray) cannot be shown by any capture card.
• For sound, set your source to output audio over HDMI, then tap Sound. Android treats HDMI audio from a capture card like a microphone, so it asks for microphone access. Nothing is recorded or sent unless you press Record.
• This app works with HDMI capture cards and other UVC video devices, including USB webcams. It does not turn the USB-C port itself into an HDMI input.
Plug in, open HDMI Monitor and enjoy a big portable screen for gaming, filming and work. Questions or a card that does not work? Use the Compatibility check, copy the report and send it to us. We read every message.
