Hedge helps your family stay safe online — everywhere.

Hedge is the companion app for the Hedge Safety Box, a simple device that plugs into your home internet and filters out pornography, gambling, and other harmful content for every device in your home. This app lets you manage that protection from your phone and extends it to your family's phones even when they leave the house.

HOW IT WORKS
Hedge protects your whole home network through the Hedge Safety Box. When a family member's phone leaves the house, Hedge keeps the same filtering in place through a secure connection back to your box — so protection follows your family wherever they go.

ABOUT THE VPN CONNECTION
Hedge uses Android's VPN service (VpnService) to deliver parental-control filtering when a family member's device is away from your home Wi-Fi. At home, filtering is handled by the Hedge Safety Box on your network. When a device leaves the house, Hedge establishes an encrypted connection from that device back to your Hedge Safety Box so the same filtering rules you set at home continue to apply. All traffic between the device and the tunnel endpoint is encrypted.

Hedge is a parental control and family safety app. The VPN connection exists solely to provide this content filtering. Hedge is not a general-purpose, anonymizing, or traffic-routing VPN service, and it does not sell, resell, or repurpose your connection.

YOUR PRIVACY COMES FIRST
Your family's browsing history stays on your own Hedge Box in your home. It is not stored in our cloud. Hedge was built for families, by a family.
