Are my files really kept private? Yes. pdfmate processes every PDF entirely on your device. Nothing is uploaded, and pdfmate has no server that stores or even sees your documents.

Will editing change my original file? No. Every edit, whether it is a page rotation, a merge, or a signature, is saved as a new copy. Your original PDF stays exactly as it was.

Can I combine PDFs from different sources into one file? Yes. Merge lets you bring several PDFs together into a single document in whatever order you choose, and split lets you pull specific pages back out later.

Does the signature feature create a real digital signature? You draw a handwritten signature with your finger or stylus, and pdfmate places it as an image on the page, similar to signing a printed page and scanning it back in. It is not a cryptographic digital signature.

Is there a limit before you unlock? Every install includes several edit-saves per day and merging up to two PDFs at a time, at no cost. pdfmate Unlock removes both limits entirely.
