Did someone leave the lights on? See a problem with someone else's car? Has someone blocked your exit?
HejAuto lets you send a short message to a license plate number without sharing your phone number, email address, or social media profile with the recipient.
How does it work?
You enter the plate number and select a subject. If the plate is linked to your HejAuto account, the message will be sent to the recipient's inbox. With notifications enabled, they will also receive a push notification. You can send the message anonymously or introduce yourself using a nickname or your license plate.
What can you report?
- Lights or alarm on
- Open window
- Keys left in the car
- Illegal parking
- Obstructing exit or passage
- Possible vehicle damage
- Parking damage
- Fluid leak
- Damaged wheel
- Child or pet locked in the car
- Unsafe speed
- Other important information about the car
Privacy First
The app does not automatically share your email address or phone number with the recipient. By default, messages are anonymous, but you can change the signature to your nickname or your own license plate.
License Plate Verification
You can assign your license plate to your account. Verification is based on a photo of your registration document and serves to confirm that your account is linked to your vehicle. A verified license plate increases the daily limit of new messages from 3 to 5.
HejAuto does not replace the emergency number 112. In a life-threatening situation, contact emergency services.
