About this app

The milk register says what each cow gave. The wall calendar says when she was served. Neither tells you the two numbers that decide whether a dairy makes money.

Herdline keeps both books in one place and works those numbers out for you — completely offline, with no account and no subscription.

MILK, THE WAY YOU ACTUALLY RECORD IT
• Enter the whole parlour in one pass — morning, midday and evening
• A running total as you type, so you catch a mis-keyed figure on the spot
• Per-cow daily log and a lactation curve built from it
• Days in milk, 305-day yield, total yield, peak yield and the day it fell on

THE BREEDING CALENDAR THAT WORKS ITSELF OUT
• Log a heat, a service, a pregnancy check, a calving or a dry-off
• From one service Herdline derives the pregnancy-check date, the expected calving 283 days on, and the suggested dry-off
• Calving interval computed from the last two calvings, per cow and herd-wide
• A missed heat costs a full 21-day cycle — the Today board is how you stop losing them

TODAY / UPCOMING — ONE DATED LIST
• Heat checks, pregnancy checks, expected calvings, dry-off, vaccinations and deworming
• Milk-withdrawal windows shown right on the milk-entry screen, so treated cows are impossible to miss
• In-app only. Herdline sends no push notifications and asks for no notification permission

INSIGHTS COMPUTED ON YOUR PHONE
• Herd yield over 7, 30 or 90 days as a chart
• Top and bottom producers, ranked, with litres per day
• Feed cost against milk value, and the net margin
• Cost per litre — the figure that decides profit
• Herd composition at a glance: milking, dry, pregnant, heifers

THE FEED AND MILK LEDGER
• Record feed purchases and milk dispatches with quantity and rate
• Fat and SNF when the dairy reports them
• A running margin. Herdline records amounts — it moves no money and connects to no bank

HEALTH RECORDS, NOT MEDICAL ADVICE
• Vaccinations, deworming, treatments, hoof care and check-ups
• The milk-withdrawal date your vet set, tracked to the day
• Next-due dates that surface on the Today board
• Herdline suggests no treatment, no dosage and no withdrawal period, and makes no diagnosis

FIND ANYTHING, ORGANISE EVERYTHING
• Full-text search across cows, treatments, ledger entries and breeding events
• Filter by status, breed or shed; sort by name, tag, age or recency
• Tags, sheds and pinned cows on your dashboard
• Multi-select for bulk actions; sold and culled cows archive with their history intact
• Undo on every deletion

STREAKS, GOALS AND MILESTONES
• A recording streak that means something — a missed day is a real gap in the ledger
• Targets for daily herd yield, cost per litre and calving interval, with progress rings
• Milestones that unlock from real husbandry: first calving logged, a cow past 25 L in a day, a calving interval under 400 days, a 1000 L month

YOURS, AND ONLY YOURS
• Records stored encrypted on this device with AES-256
• Full JSON backup you can restore from, plus CSV for every entity
• Send a backup wherever you keep it, using the Android share sheet
• Theme, accent colour and row density are yours to set

WHAT HERDLINE DOES NOT DO
• No account, no sign-up, no cloud sync
• No advertising, no analytics, no third-party SDKs
• No in-app purchases and no subscription — the app is free
• One permission, INTERNET, used solely to open the privacy policy inside Settings

Built for owner-operators running five to sixty cows, in sheds where the signal does not reach.
