About this app

UniDict (EN・繁・简・日・한) supports English, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, and Korean. Simply enter a word or phrase in any of these five languages to instantly get translations in all five languages at once. There's no need to switch dictionaries or manually select the input language—the app automatically detects it for you. Better yet, it works completely offline! Best of all, UniDict includes a Learning Mode to help you memorize vocabulary across all five languages. Search once, learn five!

- Search by Native Characters or Romanization
For Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, and Korean, you can search using either native characters or their pronunciation/romanization. For example:
• 「你好」→ `nihao`
• 「私たち」→ `watashitachi`
• 「좋은」→ `joeun`
When searching with pronunciation or romanization (ASCII characters only), you can choose which language has the highest search priority. By the way, you can enable the [æ] option in Settings to display pronunciation guides (romanization) alongside translations.

• Hear the pronunciation
If no sound is played when you tap the pronunciation button, please make sure your device volume is turned up.
You can also save your favorite words by tapping the Heart icon in the upper-left corner and review them later in History Mode or Learning Mode.

# History Mode
Easily review your recent searches and favorite words by tapping the History (Clock) or Favorites (Heart) icon at the top of the screen.

# Learning Mode
In addition to being a multilingual dictionary, the app includes a powerful Learning Mode.
Tap the Book icon in the upper-right corner to start learning. The app will randomly select words based on your chosen CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) level and pronounce them automatically.

CEFR levels:
• A1 / A2 – Elementary School
• B1 / B2 – High School
• C1 – University
• C2 – Graduate School

- Customize Your Learning Experience
• Choose a CEFR difficulty level or study only your favorite words
• Set the number of pronunciation repetitions
• Show or hide pronunciation guides (romanization)
• Adjust font size
• Enable or disable text-to-speech
• Spell English words letter by letter
• Adjust speech rate and pitch
• Select which languages are displayed

- During Learning Mode
• Tap Skip (bottom-right) to move to the next word.
• Tap Back (bottom-left) to review previous words.
• Tap Rotate to switch to landscape mode for larger text.
• Tap Pause to pause or resume playback at any time.
• Tap any word during playback to hear its pronunciation, copy it, and automatically pause the session.

- Display Settings
• Choose which languages to display.
• Customize text colors for each language.
• Adjust font size.
• Show or hide pronunciation guides (romanization).

- Speech Settings
• Enable or disable text-to-speech.
• Adjust speech rate and pitch.
• Choose whether English words are spoken letter by letter.

- Startup Settings
• Restore the last searched word when launching the app.
• Automatically open the keyboard when the app starts.
