About this app

HC-VCI is a Bluetooth diagnostic interface for Bosch VP30 and VP44 injection pumps fitted with PSG5 electronics. It wires in-line into the pump harness on native PSG5 connectors and links to this app over Bluetooth — on the bench or on the vehicle.

This app requires the HC-VCI hardware interface. Without one, use the built-in demo mode to see how it works.

IDENTIFICATION
- Reads the Bosch part number from the control unit and names the pump: series, cylinder count, marque.
- Reads the control unit's own software version.

FAULTS
- Reads stored fault codes, decoded to plain text, automatically on connection.
- Clears them after a repair.
- Shows the live states the control unit is reporting, graded by severity, alongside the stored codes — never in place of them.

ADJUSTMENT
- Reads and adjusts the idle calibration value held in the control unit. Reversible.

LIVE DATA
- Pump speed, injection timing, commanded fuel quantity and further selectable channels, with a graph view. Engine speed is measured separately, by the interface's own crank reading, so the two can be compared.
- Supply voltage, measured by the interface itself.
- CAN bus health.

CHECKS ON THE SIGNALS THEMSELVES
Because the interface sits in-line, it measures the crank signal, the shut-off line and the injector drive current directly — and compares them against what the control unit makes of them. When the two disagree, the app says so. That is the difference between "there is a crank fault" and "the sensor is fine, the control unit is not reading it".
- Crank signal check. Works with the pump unpowered.
- Injector peak-and-hold drive current.
- Shut-off line test, including whether the control unit reacted, and how fast.
- Cranking test: runs the above during a crank and reports, in three rows, where the chain breaks.
- Diagnostic line check.

IMMOBILIZER
- Reads locked and paired state.
- Verifies the watchdog signal.
- Unlocks and virginizes locked Ford PSG5 control units, in seconds.

NO ACCOUNT, NO INTERNET, NO SUBSCRIPTION
This app has no internet permission. It cannot send data anywhere, and it does not need to — everything works offline, permanently, including in a workshop with no signal. No account, no registration, no subscription, and nothing collected about you.

SUPPORTED PUMPS
Bosch VP30 and VP44 with PSG5 electronics. 110 pump part numbers, reachable through 147 identifiers: Audi, BMW, CNH, Cummins, Ford, Isuzu, John Deere, MAN, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Opel, Perkins, Rover, Sisu, Volvo and Zexel.

This is not an OBD-II scan tool. It reads the pump electronics, not the vehicle.
