It’s set in Glorantha (the world of the games RuneQuest, HeroQuest, 13th Age, and Six Ages).

Would be five stars, if they hadn't revamped the game to force an AGGRESSIVELY irritating tip/tutorial system that gets in the way and really sours the play experience. If only they'd let you turn it off. Part of a trend where Herocraft occasionally seems to de-optimize the game worse as time goes by. Ugh. Still one of the best retro games to play on mobile. Its combination of multiple choice rpg scenarios and an actual tactical simulation is as absorbing and replayable as it ever was.

I had to come back and give a proper review. I was able to install when I made enough room on my phone... 3x the amount it requires. The game is excellent though! Honestly worth the frustration of not being able to install it for a few days. The mythos is rich, the gameplay is unique, and the story is super interesting and personally shapeable. Only downside for me is that there are some actions that dont behave quite as you'd expect, and some RNG is rather opaque. If you're unsure, try it!

Solid game, endless content especially if you lack what you to do. Personally I'd treat the first time playing as getting a feel for the game, start slow learn each part of it, fail miserably, painfully, choose out of pocket choices and always worship the gods. Then after all that can you make the game submit and finally start winning.. ..... And the lore is pretty deep and worth the read especially when doing the hero quests (trust me had to learn that painfully 😭) All in all great experience
