The app worked for me, but only via HTTPS. (Trying to connect via IP just gave an error.) The functionality is pretty basic, but it's fine. What makes the app unusable is that every time you close and reopen it, you need to re-enter your server and login info from scratch, it saves nothing.

honestly best app for Kavita. would it be cool if I could change the colors yes. also the displaying of the books is messed up when I click comics I can see some books that I have in the books folder. it doesn't happen on the Kavita website so it's something with this app but other than that super easy.

Spent hours troubleshooting this. My Kavita server works perfectly locally and remotely. I verified Windows Firewall, port forwarding, local IP, public IP, HTTP, HTTPS, Wi-Fi, and cellular. The server loads instantly in every browser, including remotely from my phone. KavitaReader refuses to connect no matter what. Generic error messages, no useful diagnostics, no clue what's wrong. If the browser works and the official app doesn't, the problem isn't the server. Ended up using Inkita instead.
