About this game

Uckers is played on a distinctive cross-shaped board like that used for ludo. The game shares the same basic rules and objective as ludo, but has one significant difference - the ability to combine pieces to form 'blobs' - which allows more strategic play.

Two or four players race their pieces around the track and into their home column. The first player (or team) to get all their pieces home wins. Along the way, opponent pieces can be taken off and sent back to their yard - either individually, or 2 (or more) at a time following a successful blob attack.

GAME MODES
⚓ 2 Players (2 Colours Each) — each player controls two colours.
⚓ 4 Players (As Individuals) — every colour for itself in a four-way battle.
⚓ 4 Players (In Teams) — players move their own colour pieces, but cooperate with their partner because all pieces of both colours have to make it home to win the game.

PLAY AGAINST THE CPU
In any game mode, any player slot can be set to CPU, so you can play solo or mix human and computer players in any combination.

HOW TO PLAY
Roll the dice - a 6 is needed to bring a piece out of its yard. Move pieces clockwise around the board and into their home column. Land on an opponent piece to send it back to its yard — but watch out for blobs, which block the track and can only be broken by rolling the right number of sixes in a blob attack... unless it's a mixey (i.e. multi-coloured) blob, which can be taken off as if it were a single piece. Full rules are included in-app for new players.

NAVAL TRADITION
Uckers has been played in the Royal Navy for generations, with its own distinctive rules and terminology. Numerous variants of the game have been developed over the years - if there are other rules (or terms) you'd like to see included in future releases of the app, please let us know!
