Heximus is a simple IDE for Android with Bluetooth Arduino support. Sample apps included are Camera, Clock, Compass, GPS, Morsecode, Hex Editor,Ringtone and Bluetooth. Heximus also gives you access to video and audio which allows you to monitor both video and audio events at the same time which can be used for low cost home security. A morse code, GPS, and compass app are included which could be useful in an emergency. All capture events are stored in a SQLite database that you can peruse later while also being able to set filters so you only view the data that you are interested in. Heximus uses a language based on visual basic that is easy to learn but still very powerful.
Heximus was designed to use minimum hardware and will run on hardware as low as a Galaxy S7. No sim card or WIFI connection is needed, although without a WIFI connection or data plan you will not be able to upload to the cloud.
Uses include home security, time lapse photography and general audio and image data collection. Data can be filtered by date range and event type. Also with Bluetooth it easy to communicate to the outside world using Arduinos with Bluetooth modules installed.
