About this app

Amiko Discovery is a people-search app. Instead of scrolling a feed or filtering by tags, you describe the kind of person you are looking for in plain language, and get back people who actually fit, each with a short reason why.

HOW IT WORKS

Ask for what you mean. "Someone who has shipped a hardware product and can tell me what went wrong." "A designer in Delhi who works on typography." You write it the way you would say it to a friend, not as a set of filters.

Every result comes with a reason. You see why each person was matched, drawn from what they wrote about themselves — so you can tell at a glance whether it is worth reaching out, instead of guessing from a photo and a job title.

Start a conversation. When someone looks right, message them in the app.

Rooms group people by a shared context — an event, a community, a cohort. Join one and you can search inside it, which is useful when "people at this conference" is the part that matters.

YOUR PROFILE

Your profile is what makes you findable. You answer a few prompts in your own words, and can paste in a longer description of yourself if you have one. That text is what searches are matched against, so the more specific you are, the better the matches — in both directions.

YOU CONTROL WHETHER YOU ARE FOUND

Find me is a switch you own. Turn it off and you stop appearing in anyone's results, without losing your profile. Turn it back on whenever you like.

Block and report are built in. You can block anyone, which hides their profile and their messages from you, and report anything that does not belong here.

Delete your account whenever you want, from inside the app. It removes your profile, your photo, your prompt answers, your searches and your messages, immediately and permanently. There is no waiting period and nothing kept back.

A NOTE ON HOW MATCHING WORKS

Matching is done by a language model. Your profile text and your search wording are sent to our AI providers to work out who fits and to write the reason you see. Your data is not used to train models and is not sold. Full detail is in our privacy policy.

WHAT THIS IS NOT

Amiko Discovery is not a dating app and not a job board. It is for finding specific people for specific reasons, and it works best when you know roughly who you are looking for.
