About this app

Is the visibility good for snorkeling today? Snorkel Canarias tells you instantly, beach by beach, with a score from 0 to 10 calculated from real data on waves, wind, tides, and cloud cover—not generic weather app forecasts.

WHAT IT DOES
• Live ratings for more than 25 snorkeling spots across the 8 islands, updated with real marine and meteorological data.

• Explains the reasoning behind each score: waves, wind, tides, access difficulty, and visibility, with the exact reason when something isn't ideal (murky water, cloudy skies, low tide with rocks, etc.).

• Interactive map with a real-time cloud cover layer and an autocomplete search function to find any beach by name, municipality, or island.

• When you open the app, it directly shows you the best beaches on the island you're on.

• Ideal time of day: tells you the best time to go, not just the current moment. • Daily tide graph and water temperature with wetsuit recommendation.

• Common marine life at each location, so you know what to expect.

• Optional night snorkel mode for night snorkelers.

• Works offline: even if you lose signal at the cove itself, it continues to display the last available information.

• Available in Spanish, English, and German.

WHO IS IT FOR? For anyone who wants to go snorkeling in the Canary Islands—from those who just want a relaxing afternoon in an easy cove to those looking for the best spot to see groupers, turtles, or rays—and doesn't want to guess the conditions or arrive at a beach with impossible water.

Snorkel Canarias requires no registration or account. There is no advertising. Location data is used only on your device to show you the beaches on your island; it is never sent to any server.

Islands covered: Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, La Palma, La Gomera, El Hierro, and La Graciosa.
