Record an idea, a meeting, a lecture — Carte Sonore turns it into text right on your phone, from the moment you install it and with no connection. Speech recognition runs on the device: your voice never leaves your pocket.
YOUR VOICE STAYS PRIVATE
Unlike cloud transcription services, Carte Sonore runs its artificial intelligence on your phone. No account, no data sent anywhere: your audio, transcripts and notes stay with you. The only connection the app can make is downloading an optional model, at your request. The transcription model ships inside the app, so it works entirely offline from the very first launch — on a plane, on a trail, anywhere.

• A transcription model ships with the app: your recordings are transcribed automatically from the moment you install it, with nothing to download (Whisper technology, running locally)
• Three more accurate models available as an option, downloaded once from Settings — including one optimized for French
• Karaoke-style synced transcript: the text highlights as the audio plays
ORGANIZE YOUR RECORDINGS
• Folders by theme: drag a recording onto a folder to file it
• Merge several takes into one combined recording — continuous playback, unified transcript, split it apart again at any time
• Search across titles and transcripts, with waveforms true to the actual audio
