A signal is a real, checkable condition tied to a specific game:

- Birthday: a player has a birthday on game day
- Hometown: an away player is playing near where they grew up
- College: a player is playing near their college town
- Weather: a player with a track record in the game's temperature range
- Former team: a player facing the team that traded or released them
- Former teammate: a player lining up against an old teammate

X-FACTORS
When several signals stack on the same player in the same game, that's an
X-Factor. The app highlights these converging conditions so you can spot them
fast.
