About this app

The app presents one multiple-choice question at a time with four answer options (A, B, C, D), just like a real school exam. After answering each question, the app shows whether the answer was correct or incorrect along with a detailed step-by-step explanation in both Traditional Chinese and English, so students can learn from their mistakes immediately.

Every wrong answer is automatically saved. Students can open the review section at any time to revisit their incorrect answers and track their improvement over time. The statistics screen shows total questions attempted, total correct answers, and overall accuracy percentage.

The app has three main modes:

1. Mock Exam — Starts a timed exam session with 20 randomly selected multiple-choice questions and a 45-minute countdown timer. After the student answers all 20 questions or time runs out, the app shows the score, a list of correct and incorrect answers, and the overall accuracy percentage.

2. Free Browse — The student selects any of the 12 topics, then selects any specific question within that topic to answer. There is no timer and no randomisation. This mode is designed for focused revision on specific areas.

3. Step-by-Step Examples — Each topic has 5 fully worked example questions with expandable step-by-step solutions (60 examples total across all topics). Students can read through the solutions at their own pace to understand the problem-solving process before attempting practice questions.

The 12 topics covered are the core topics of the Hong Kong Secondary 3 mathematics curriculum:

4. Rational and Irrational Numbers
5. Deductive Geometry
6. Quadrilaterals
7. Area and Volume
8. Coordinate Geometry
9. Trigonometry
10. Applications of Trigonometry
11. Probability
12. Statistics

The app interface is fully bilingual. Students can switch between Traditional Chinese and English at any time from the settings menu. All buttons, labels, question text, answer options, and explanations appear in the selected language.

This app is designed for Hong Kong Secondary 3 students preparing for school mathematics examinations. It can also be used by Secondary 1 and 2 students who want to preview S3 topics, or by Secondary 4 to 6 students who need to review junior secondary mathematics concepts.
