Ratings and reviews

Edit. 2/2020 the new app does work very well and hasn't crashed since the update Original review (old version): It worked well at first, but just crashes now. Although even when it did work there didn't seem to be any way to turn it off. It was constantly running; even when stopped by advanced task killer it would just restart itself. Hopefully they fix the issues soon. In the meantime, it's back to beyond pod for me. Edit: reinstalling seems to have fixed the crashing issue.

The content is 5 stars, the app is 1-2 stars, it crashes frequently and there is no search option. I've had to reinstall multiple times because sometimes it just decides it won't play any of the files. Update: the Android saga continues. The app intermittently will work but often would have problems like frequently stopping the podcast, not continuing to play audio if not on the app itself (or shutting off as soon as the phone screen does)…not currently working at all for me.

Great podcasts and videos! But I have to rate the Android app 3 stars because it's painful to use. In my car, the controls default to where if I press fast forward it goes a full episode forward instead of 30 seconds, and back starts the whole thing again instead of back 10 seconds. As someone who frequently gets distracted and needs to go back and forth, that makes it really frustrating to use. It also randomly stops working sometimes but that's a much less significant issue.
