Hissa keeps the running total for a shared house.
Log what you spent, split it with your flatmates, and see one number: what you owe, or what you are owed. When the month ends, Hissa works out the shortest list of payments that clears everyone — never more than one payment fewer than there are people, however tangled the month got.
WHAT IT DOES
• Log an expense in seconds — what it was, how much, who paid
• Split it evenly across everyone in the group
• See your net balance at a glance, updated as entries land
• Close the month and get the exact payments that settle it
• Tick each payment off as it happens
BUILT AROUND THE MONTH
Rent lands on the 1st. Salaries do not. Choose whether your month starts on the 1st, the 5th, the 10th, or the last day, and Hissa rolls each period on that schedule.
Closing a month is a deliberate act, and it is final. Once a month is settled it stays settled, so a forgotten entry cannot quietly change what everyone has already paid.
THE NUMBERS ADD UP
Every amount is held in whole paise, never in decimals that drift. The balance column sums to exactly ₹0 — always, not approximately.
Split ₹100 three ways and Hissa gives ₹33.34, ₹33.33 and ₹33.33. Three equal shares would lose a paisa, and a ledger that loses a paisa is a ledger nobody trusts.
SHARE A HOUSE, NOT AN ACCOUNT
Create a group, share the invite code, and your flatmates join with it. Everyone sees the same ledger and the same balances, so there is nothing to reconcile and no single person holding the spreadsheet.
SIGNING IN
No password to forget. Type your email, tap the link we send you, and you are in.
YOUR ACCOUNT IS YOURS
Delete it whenever you like, from inside the app. Entries your flatmates have already settled against stay, so their closed months still balance — but your name comes off them and your email is released. You can start over with a fresh account any time.
Log what you spent. See who owes what. Close the month in a few taps.
