The Bible translation into Portuguese by João Ferreira de Almeida, was first published in 1681. The Greek text that formed the basis for King James Version was the Textus Receptus and the Hebrew text was the Masoretic, both considered by believers and faithful scholars as the true legacy preserved by God as His word.
