It's fairly useful, but... 1. The chart should pop up without having to turn my phone to view. 2. They are missing some of the central vowel sounds, which are the trickiest ones to differentiate (and the whole reason I was looking at the IPA chart today anyway.) Having said that, I really like the recordings for the vowels; they hold out the sound for almost a ehole second in a clear, steady tone. MUCH better than other interactive IPA charts with the guy using the creaky voice and downward intonation.
This app is very helpful for linguistics students learning both English and Non-English IPA symbols. The game is also useful for testing recognition of sounds，but I've noticed there are some mistakes where I can tap a symbol and it won't actually match the sound but the game recognizes it as correct. Otherwise, this app is a very good free reference for the complete IPA
I like this apps but if I can translate words into Phonetic term then it more useful
Only two problems: 1⃣ the vowel section is a bit problematic to use on a cellphone and doesn't give a visual feedback on which vowel in the chart has actually been selected :p. This makes it a bit problematic for beginners or for people with some hearing impairment. 2⃣ The animation for sibilants such as /s/ and /z/ seems a bit wrong on tongue placement. Maybe you should cross-check those with someone else like a speech therapist?
Very useful, best app to learn the IPA that I found on play store
