Haunted Maze Escape is a single-player labyrinth game where every corridor is summoned the moment you step into it and every ghost remembers exactly where you started. There are no servers, no logins, no waiting rooms - just you, a faint lantern and walls that rearrange themselves whenever you blink.
What makes it different
- A new maze is procedurally generated for every run, so memorising a layout never works. The labyrinth adapts to the difficulty you pick and to the mode you choose, instead of recycling the same hand-built rooms.
- The ghosts are not scripted patrols. They drift in a wandering mood until you fall inside their sight radius, then switch to a chase mood and pathfind toward you through the open corridors. Slip out of view and they relax again, which turns every move into a tiny stealth decision.
- The visual style was crafted around a single palette: deep purple stone, mystical cyan glow and pale moonlight. The walls breathe with soft light, the exit gate pulses cyan only when it is finally willing to release you.
- Three distinct game modes give the labyrinth three personalities, so the same engine offers very different sessions: a curated adventure, a high-score endurance run and a fast tactical sprint.
The three modes
- Classic Escape: gather every glowing skeleton key, then reach the carved gate. You start with several lives and the labyrinth grows larger and more populated with each cleared level.
- Endless Haunting: a single boundless maze, one life, and ghost waves that grow as your score climbs. Survive as long as you can.
- Hourglass Run: race the cursed sands. The exit is always available, but the timer never pauses. Plan a route, breathe, then run.
How you play
You move one tile at a time. Slide your finger across the maze or use the on-screen directional pad - whichever is faster for the situation. Stay out of a ghost's line of sight, time your turns, and the labyrinth will eventually let you through.
What is inside
- A loading screen, an animated main menu, a dedicated mode selector, the gameplay screen with a heads-up display and pause flow, a settings screen, a how-to-play guide, an interactive lore section and an about screen. Each screen is tuned for both small and large displays without overflow.
- Settings let you toggle sound feedback, vibration on key events, an optional micro-haptic on every move, and switch difficulty between Easy, Normal and Hard.
- Local progress tracking remembers your best Classic level, best Endless score and best Hourglass time, plus the total number of runs.
- A lore section with seven readable, expandable cards that explain why the maze behaves the way it does, instead of leaving the story untold.
