I got this app for my fiancé who has been learning Arabic and it's been super helpful! I always ask him about the word of the day which is a great conversation starter that then leads to more impromptu lessons. I do wish there was a mode where you could practice learning without having to watch a video. like something gamified if you wanted to do when waiting around and needed to kill time and might not have headphones for a video outside of just flashcards.

I love the videos on this app! I would consider myself to be fluent in Fusha but no one speaks Fusha and I find myself overwhelmed in real life confos. Being able to watch the videos and read the subtitles really helps me catch on to phrases that usually I miss because they are said too fast or blend into other words.

I've been with Hob for a few years now before they even had an app. My journey to Arabic is long but worthwhile. After many different apps (seriously have tried most of the major language apps), this has hands down been the best and most fun self-paced/self-guided app for the Levantine Dialect by far. It's up to date with the ever-evolving language of Arabic & a look into daily life with real natives. Video library is a wealth of resources and you can create vocab lists directly from the videos
