MY STORY

Hello, I'm Alex. I'm a professional bike mechanic — my hands are always dirty, always busy. I used to walk the workshop with pen and paper taking notes, until one day I thought: why am I doing this?

I went looking for a voice tool that was private, offline, and just worked. I couldn't find one, so I built it myself.

Around version 1.4, something clicked. I started walking the workshop dictating: "Shimano XT shifter, 10-speed. Schwalbe Smart Sam tire. Tektro brake pads." A full diagnostic of ten bikes in under ten minutes — more detail than I ever managed with pen and paper.

That felt like magic. I built VoicePad for myself. Now I'm sharing it with you.

PRIVACY & PERMISSIONS

VoicePad AI uses Android's Accessibility Service to insert the text you dictate directly into the app you're using (messages, email, notes, search fields, and so on) and to detect the active text field so your words land in the right place. This is VoicePad's core hands-free typing feature. Your speech is processed entirely on your device — the Accessibility Service is used only to place your dictated text. No accessibility data is collected, transmitted, or shared. You can enable or disable this service at any time in your device's Accessibility settings.
