About this app

Private Passport Verifier transforms your NFC-enabled passport into a powerful tool for privacy-preserving identity verification. With a simple tap, authenticate your identity without revealing personal data. Private Passport Verifier is powered by Holonym's cutting-edge Zero-Knowledge architecture, incorporating Silk's auto-custodial key protocol to secure your verified credentials directly on your mobile device.

Your Data, Your Control
Private Passport Verifier is the world pioneer in private credentials, securing your plaintext passport data exclusively on your device. It never reveals sensitive data to third parties, ensuring unparalleled privacy and security. Not even Holonym can see your passport data. You can generate cryptographic "proofs" of your identity, such as a "Proof of Humanity," to safely interact with web apps and services. These proofs are cryptographic attestations, confirming your data originates from a legitimate credential endorsed by a governmental authority.

Worldwide Compatability
With support for over 150 countries, Private Passport Verifier is your global companion for privacy-focused identity verification. Check that your passport features the NFC symbol in order to use and switch to safe and private credential verification today.

Crashes 100% of the time. Used with biometric russian passports, which works fine in other passport reading apps.
