About this app

"EveryHome" is a free app that turns your unused smartphone into a P2P home security camera.

You can use an old phone from your drawer as a camera and your main phone as a monitor to view video in real-time within the same Wi-Fi network. Video is transmitted via P2P only between the two devices and is not stored on any server.

【Important】 This version is for monitoring between two devices connected to the same Wi-Fi (same router). Access from external networks (LTE/5G/different Wi-Fi) is not currently supported. Support for external access is planned for a future update.

■ How to Use

1. First, check that both devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi.

2. On the phone to be used as the camera, select "Camera" mode to receive a 6-digit room code.

3. On the phone to be used as the monitor, select "Monitor" mode and enter the same 6-digit code.

4. Once connected, the video will be displayed immediately, and two-way calls are possible while holding down the microphone button on the screen.

■ Permissions Guide

• Camera / Microphone: Used for video and audio transmission.

• Background Camera/Microphone (Foreground Service): Required to maintain uninterrupted transmission even when the phone used as the camera is off or while using other apps. A "Home Cam Transmission in Progress" notification is always displayed in the status bar while the device is in operation.

• Notifications: Used to display Foreground Service notifications.

■ Data Protection

• Video/Audio: Transmitted directly between two devices only within the same Wi-Fi network and is not stored on a server.

• Room codes and connection information (WebRTC signaling) are stored in Firebase only temporarily and are automatically deleted after 24 hours.

• Login or sign-up is not required, and personal information such as name, email, or phone number is not collected.

■ Usage Environment (Required)

• Both devices must be connected to the same Wi-Fi (same router) or the same mobile hotspot. When using a hotspot, it can be used in outdoor spaces such as cafes, camping sites, or car camping.

• Connections between different networks (both LTE/5G or different Wi-Fi networks) are not supported in the current version.

• This limitation is scheduled to be resolved in a future update, but during the private testing phase, it operates only within the same network.
