About this app
CyStack HomeSafe Agent is a companion app for parents and guardians aged 18 and over. Parents install this app on their child's Android device, then link it to their CyStack HomeSafe account to set up protection rules.
The app is not intended for entertainment or for children to download and set up themselves. Logging in, creating a parental PIN, and granting necessary permissions must be done by the parent or guardian.
MAIN FEATURES
Screen Time Management
- Set device usage limits.
- Limit time by app group such as games, entertainment, and social media.
- Remotely lock the device when necessary.
Web Content Filtering
- Block inappropriate websites and domains.
- Apply Google SafeSearch and YouTube Restricted Mode.
- Support checking TikTok's Restricted Mode status.
- Records web browsing history on supported browsers after parents proactively set up a VPN and security certificate.
App Management
- View a list of installed apps.
- Block individual apps or groups of apps.
- Set age-based restrictions for apps.
Device Location
- View the device's recent location.
- View location history, updated periodically.
- This feature requires location access even when the app is not in use.
Activity Reports
- View app usage duration.
- View recent web browsing history.
- View device status and applicable protection rules.
DATA AND PRIVACY
To provide parental controls, HomeSafe may collect and send the following data to the CyStack server:
- List of installed apps.
- Application usage duration and history.
- Web addresses accessed on supported browsers.
- Device location, including when the application is running in the background.
- Technical information and device status.
This data is used by parents to view reports, set limits, and apply protection rules. CyStack does not sell personal data to third parties.
Parents can request account and data deletion via email at support@cystack.net.

RIGHTS AND SERVICES AVAILABLE
- Device administrator: helps restrict the disabling or uninstallation of applications without parental permission.
- Accessibility Services: Detects open apps, applies restrictions, displays a blocking screen, and protects certain settings with a parental PIN.
- VPNService: Creates a VPN on the device to filter websites and apply web protection rules.
- Background Location: Updates the device's location even when the app is not open.
- Permission to view installed apps: Necessary for parents to manage, block, and restrict apps.
- Notifications: Displays protection status when monitoring functions are active.
