About this app

HomeSum turns your phone into a money manager that works by itself. Your bank's payment texts and notifications become tracked expenses automatically — categorized, organized, and waiting for one-tap confirmation. Built for Egypt and the wider MENA region, in English and Arabic.

AUTOMATIC CAPTURE
• Bank SMS Capture (optional): when your bank texts you about a charge, HomeSum reads it on your device, extracts the amount and merchant, and queues it for your approval.
• Bank & wallet notification capture for apps that push alerts.
• Transfers between your own accounts are detected and never double-counted.
• Everything is parsed on your phone. Your messages are never uploaded or shared.

EVERYTHING IN ONE WALLET
• All your accounts — banks, cards, cash and mobile wallets — with live balances.
• Add expenses your way: automatically, by voice, by scanning a receipt, or with two taps.
• Smart receipt scanning splits a receipt into individual items.

PERMISSIONS, TRANSPARENTLY
SMS access is optional and off by default. It is requested only if you enable Bank SMS Capture, used only to read bank payment messages on your device, and can be turned off anytime.
